Deborah Cavin is senior adviser at The Institute for Inclusive Security, where she advances the Institute’s programs in the broader Middle East.  She also supports strategic planning and facilitates cooperation with multilateral organizations and other international partners.
 
Previously, Ms. Cavin worked for 26 years as a Foreign Service Officer, serving at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. and at American embassies in Austria, France, and the U.K.  She also worked for USAID in Jamaica, and taught English both in the U.S. and abroad.  Ms. Cavin received her MA and BA in history at Rice University, and did additional coursework at the University of Vienna and several U.S. Government training schools.
