Melissa Lawrence is manager of finance and operations at The Institute for Inclusive Security, where she is responsible for the Institute’s administrative and technical systems, processes, and procedures. 

Previously, Ms. Lawrence worked as an associate at Real Change Strategies, a consulting firm focused on nonprofit strategy, and as education director for the World Affairs Councils of America. Ms. Lawrence received her MA in comparative and regional studies and MBA at American University and her BA in history and political science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
