Travis Wheeler is an advocate at The Institute for Inclusive Security, where he is responsible for the Institute's education and outreach initiatives to the US Congress, which raise awareness among legislators and their staff members of the pressing need to include all stakeholders, especially women, in peace processes worldwide.

Previously, Mr. Wheeler worked as a congressional liaison for the Latin America Working Group, one of the nation's longest standing nonprofit coalitions dedicated to US foreign policy, on a campaign to restore the right of US citizens to travel to Cuba. Prior to his work as a congressional liaison, Mr. Wheeler worked on a LAWG campaign to ensure US foreign aid programs in Colombia foster peace, justice, and respect for human rights. Mr. Wheeler received his BA in political science at DePaul University, where he also studied religion.
