Where We Work: Consultations and Training

An attendee at Inclusive Security's 2006 consultation in Sudan listens to presentations about our work.Recently, Inclusive Security has increased its capacity-building efforts, specifically targeting women peace builders in conflict regions around the globe.  Our primary goal is to provide women with the skills and knowledge necessary to exercise leadership at the local, national, and international levels.  Through the use of simulations, interactive exercises, and engaging audio-visual presentations that are participant-based and easily adaptable, Inclusive Security's program strengthens skills for both analysis and advocacy.

Our training efforts focus on helping women hone their skills as they develop an advocacy agenda.  In addition to capacity building, our program seeks to form coalitions among women peace builders as well as generate comprehensive strategies for change.  These unique strategic consultations facilitate the development of platforms of action that are focused on promoting women's inclusion in all stages of the peace process, from conflict prevention to negotiations to post conflict reconstruction.

Inclusive Security has led strategic consultations and training with women from such diverse regions as Afghanistan, Colombia, Iraq, Liberia, Rwanda, and Sudan, among others.
