Elizabeth Kidd McWhorter is the organizational growth and development officer at The Institute for Inclusive Security, where she supports the Institute’s management team in strategic planning, learning initiatives, and resource development. She also works with the Institute’s teams to ensure that each has access to the financial support necessary to achieve its goals.
Previously, Ms. McWhorter worked as a grant manager and development associate for a variety of organizations including the Civic Education Project, an international exchange program for academics, and Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore. She has over nine years of experience in development with a focus on managing institutional relationships. In addition, she spent nearly 3 years in Romania as a Peace Corps volunteer. Ms. McWhorter received her BA in political science, Russian, and Russian studies at St. Olaf College and is pursuing her MA in public policy at the University of Maryland, College Park.
