Pamela Aall – Vice President, Education, will discuss the challenges that mediators encounter in addressing issues important to women and reflections on how to address these challenges.

Carla Koppell, Director, The Institute for Inclusive Security, will discuss the importance of more inclusive peace negotiations and concise strategies for how policymakers can increase women’s participation.

Anthony Wanis St. John - Advisor, USIP and Assistant Professor, American University, will  discuss whether differences in negotiation behaviors and attitudes are tied to gender identity in an effort to reintegrate impact and context in the debate about difference in negotiation. 

Through this seminar series, policy makers and practitioners from various sectors will discuss methods and approaches to engaging women in peacebuilding efforts.  Featured experts will share research and insights. Participants will have ample time to interact with experts and fellow participants about why and how to solicit the contributions of women in peace negotiations.
