Hunt Inclusive Security Fellowships
Inclusive Security established the Hunt Inclusive Security Fellowship program to promote research in the field of women, peace, and security. We hope that the fellowship program will spur creative thinking and analysis in this relatively new academic discipline.
The 2009 Hunt fellows hail from two leading institutions in the field of international conflict resolution. They were selected in collaboration with two Washington, DC universities from among eligible graduate and post-graduate students to receive a $2,000 grant.
Rita Konaev, of the master's program in conflict resolution at Georgetown University, will study the contributions of women in an Israeli-Palestinian women's group to promote reconciliation and peace.
Kimairis Toogood, of the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University, will examine the efforts of women-focused non-governmental organizations to sustain peace in Tajikistan.
