International Crisis Group

An esteemed organization working to prevent and resolve deadly conflict around the world through field based analysis and high level advocacy, the International Crisis Group has more than 100 staff members on 5 continents generating analytical reports with recommendations targeted at key international decision-makers.

The Initiative works closely with Crisis Group staff to ensure that their reports contain gender analysis and call attention to the important contributions women are making to conflict prevention and resolution. We also advocate jointly for women’s participation in the European Union, US government, and United Nations.  From her position on Crisis Group’s board, the Initiative’s Chair, Ambassador Swanee Hunt provides important gender perspectives to deliberations by the board.
