Biography 
Sarita Giri is the Central Committee member of the Nepal Sadbhawana party (Anandi Devi). Prior to this position she served as the party’s joint general secretary, spokesperson, and chief of the foreign affairs department. She is the executive chairperson of the Center for Women and Politics (CWAP) which, with a coalition of eight political party women leaders, is working to project and implement women’s vision of a just, peaceful, and democratic Nepal. Ms. Giri is part of a five-member national task force entrusted with formulating policies and programs to ensure the inclusion of women and other previously excluded groups in the new political system. Presently, she serves as a member of the seven party alliances taskforce, which has been assigned the responsibility of advising and assisting the government in the peace process and transitional governance.(1.2007)
