Biography 
Gina Parody was elected Senator in 2006, after serving in the House of Representatives for four years and advising the campaign of President Uribe. Senator Parody holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javierana, with specialization in conflict resolution. She also studied political science in Salamanca, Spain and New York. She is currently pursuing a degree in Urban Management. Senator Parody is a frequent contributor to numerous magazines and newspapers. In Congress, she is a leader of the pro-Uribe caucus and has sponsored legislation protecting children and the elderly, fostering urban environmental health, and promoting administrative reform and entrepreneurship.(1.2007)
