1. Americas Inclusive Security's work in the Americas, which is currently focused in Colombia, includes advocating for women's inclusion in negotiations; disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR); and transitional justice processes. Through a partnership with the Organization of American States, the Initiative builds regional capacity to mainstream gender in security sector institutions. Published case studies document women's contributions to unofficial negotiations in Colombia and disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration processes in El Salvador.
2. Africa The Initiative for Inclusive Security's work in Africa advances the participation of key stakeholders, particularly women, in negotiations, post-conflict governance, and economic development. Today, advocacy, capacity building, and research are focused particularly on Liberia, Rwanda, and Sudan. Past research has documented women's contributions to peace building in South Africa, Sierra Leone, and Rwanda.
3. Europe Inclusive Security's work in Bosnia and Herzegovina has focused on issues of transitional justice, specifically women's participation in the International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) for the former Yugoslavia. Currently, Inclusive Security is helping Bosnia and Herzegovina ensure implementation of projects that increase women's political participation and women's contributions to post-conflict reconstruction. | 4. Eurasia Through consultations and advocacy, Inclusive Security's focus in Eurasia is on Afghanistan and increasing women's participation in peace building. In Afghanistan, the emphasis is on women's roles in post-conflict governance and enhancing judicial reform.
5. Middle East In the Middle East, Inclusive Security works to ensure that preservation of Iraqi women's rights remains a US policy priority and women fully participate in Iraqi reconstruction. Additionally, Inclusive Security promotes women's inclusion in the Israeli and Palestinian negotiations through advocacy in Washington, DC supportive of the International Women's Commission for a Just and Sustainable Palestinian–Israeli Peace. A forthcoming case study documents the role of Iranian women in nonviolent societal transformation.
6. Asia Inclusive Security's work is Asia includes an emphasis on women's inclusion in negotiations in Sri Lanka as well as case studies highlighting women's contributions in Cambodia and Naga, India.
