Significant Work Gets Significant Support: 2005 Young Artists Showcase Raises $732,500

On May 12, 2005, Hunt Alternatives Fund and The Cloud Foundation hosted the 2005 Young Artists Showcase. Donors, youth arts service providers, and young artists gathered for a festive evening of amazing performances and lively conversation. Artists from Boston Children's Chorus, ZUMIX, True Colors, Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, and BalletRox delighted the audience with their skill and artistry, and keynote speaker Hubie Jones, civic leader and founder/board president of Boston's Children Chorus, gave an inspiring speech on the importance of art in young people's lives.

A total of $732,500 was raised as a result of the Hunt Alternatives Fund/Cloud Foundation showcase; this number includes the donations from individuals and family foundations and the matching donations offered by the Fund. These funds will help ensure that arts remain in the lives of young people with limited access to artistic experiences.
